Sarah is an experienced teacher and examiner of English who has taught at Dubai College for 8 years and is a Specialist Leader in Education specialising in oracy and Harkness lessons. Her recent MSc in Learning and Teaching research focused upon the impact Harkness lessons have upon students’ confidence and, having attended the Phillips Exeter Academy Humanities Institute to experience Harkness lessons at their source, she is passionate about the transformative power of oracy in the classroom. Consequently, Sarah has delivered Oracy CPD sessions to other schools in Dubai and has created the Dubai Oracy Hub at Dubai College to support and develop classroom talk across all Key Stages in Dubai so that more students have access to dialogic learning and teaching.
